hi wammers can you tell me where the pressure switch is located and how to remove and where i can get one ????? from cheers mozz
By now all the faulty ones should be gone.If you have a recurring 'Pressure constantly high' fault from the EAS ECU then you most likely will need a new drive pack - ANR3900,not a new pressure switch.
You have said this before and maybe a faulty driver pack can effect the ECU. But the driver pack has nothing to do with pressure switch or running of compressor.
Look - I'm not saying this for no reason, several years ago I had P38's with EAS faults all over the place. The last straw was an irate phone call from Spain,a customer there on holiday,EAS in hard fault, big caravan etc, etc. You have said this before and maybe a faulty driver pack can effect the ECU. I had driven that car for several days on test, whilst monitoring the,(New) pressure switch. It worked faultlessly, the wiring was checked and found good.I had no choice but to replace the ECU.Two weeks later I get the angry call from Spain.
In utter frustration I asked LR dealer tech support, the chap I spoke to had no further suggestions after I explained what I had done.He bounced the issue around to the others in the office, one of them said,"Seen that before - replace the drive pack."
He couldnt remember what caused the ecu to log this when the drive pack failed, and I never bothered to try to work it out.(This was right in the middle of sequential LPG systems coming out and I was busy trying to find ways to tune them successfully.)
All I can say is that it works and was a huge relief,as at that time I was where the buck stopped for about 60 garages diagnostics wise - no pressure then......
