theres loads of greenlanes near you just get an os map and learn how to use it properly 
remember your first time mate there at the back looking 4 guidance lolalright mate, im from near ashbourne in derbyshire, theers usually someone out in the peaks somewhere just keep your eyes open in the green lane section, and possibly think about joining a club like buxton and district landrover club, they do loads of events and green lane days, good way to get into it
