As I'm reassembling the 90 I'm looking at areas like this and wondering what can be done with it to tidy it up? I've rubbed down the corrosion but wondered if I could cut the bottom 10mm off the panel to create a straight edge? What do the majority of people do with these scabby areas before...

Hi folks, I've just taken the crossmember off on my defender and wondered if there were any gaskets or plastic spacers to go in between the new crossmember and the lower body panels? If not what is the best way of prepping the area before reassembly? Cheers

It is definitely bound up with mud as I can see inside the chasis through the rubber grommet hole... I may just cut it and hold it out of the way Thanks again chaps
