Anyone know a mechanic/shop in Accra, Ghana?

I'd appreciate it if you think there is a chance you can help! I'll PM you :D Both sound like great trips. I can't wait to be in East Africa. My real passion is wildlife and photography, so that's the part of Africa that really appeals to me. I just thought driving through West Africa...

Smitten With a 90 On eBay...

White one is terrible. Black one could have been cool, but they went too far. The one thing I really do like is how there is a bar connecting the bull bar to the rock sliders.

Anyone know a mechanic/shop in Accra, Ghana?

Wow, either way thank you very much. I'm actually in Abidjan at the moment, hoping to get out of here early next week, so the timeframe works a gem. I'll shoot you a PM with my info. Everything looks the part, but if we're being honest I have no idea what I'm looking at, so outside of a...

Anyone know a mechanic/shop in Accra, Ghana?

Figure it's a shot in the dark, but nothing to lose. I'm definitely due for a checkup on my Defender and I figured that Accra would be the perfect spot seeing as they'll speak English and it's in between the poor roads of West Africa and the poor roads of Central Africa. I found this...

When to replace shocks / springs on Defender

My front ones are clunking pretty badly actually, could I have killed OME springs in like eight thousand miles? It has been pretty rough going in parts of North Africa, but still..

    Some Photos from Western Sahara..

No HDR, I happen to hate that effect. The first few might be a bit vivid, but I don't think I went far overboard. Yessir Unfortunately..

    Rear coil spring conundrum

So I'm having a difficult time figuring something out and I wouldn't mind some outside opinions. I got my car stock and it was perfectly level left/right. I had it modified with a bunch of things including medium load OME springs all around. The load in the back made the rear springs sag a bit...

I don't want the back of my car to sit so low!

So here is my 110 when I first bought it, stock everything and it's pretty level front/back, if anything the back is slightly higher: Since then I got OME springs, front and back and obviously a bunch of other stuff, but now the rear is sitting noticeably lower than the front...

Tony's Travels | Morocco | High Atlas Mountain Trek

Morocco is easy as can be. Shell or Afriquia stations all over the place. The stereotypical issues are going to be once I get further south. I have a larger tank, meant to be 160 liters, but I'm not sure it actually is. I'm hopefully going to properly test it out soon. A few more from...

Tony's Travels | Morocco | High Atlas Mountain Trek

My introduction to off-road trails, or pistes as they're called in Morocco got off to, shall we say a rocky start. I chose the High Atlas Mountain piste MH1 as it fit nicely into my proposed route through the country and Morocco Overland promised that it was a "meaty crossing", which sounded...

    2013 New Defender Purchase

lol One bit of advice is not to get any accessories or bolt on options at all from the dealer. All of that stuff is A LOT cheaper aftermarket and the factory doesn't actually install anything, the dealer does after the car is delivered.

    I finally have a Defender!

Car park was safe enough :D Made it down to Spain and I'm getting myself ready to head into Morocco.. I'll probably start a new trip thread once I'm there.

265/75 I don't think they needed to do anything special at all for the wheels.

    I finally have a Defender!

Finally I have an update! lol Daytime damage shot once again: Chunnel train back to England I was nervous about how well it would be able to get straightened out, but... So I'm very happy to not have added too much "character" so early on in the game. Some more decals...
