I have brought my dads 02plate landrover discovery td5 and I am well chuffed with it. it makes my 300tdi feel like ****e.:D:D

when I select low range gear I get a misfire/rumble feel to engine and lots of smoke, does any body have any ideas? is fine in high range. it is a 300tdi

Avice needed please. i brought a 300tdi and revs rough at 1500-2000 revs when cold and gives a rummble feel inside the car and blows out smoke. i have serviced the engine, new lift pump and new glows plugs- 2 middle ones was wet with black oil? egr valve blanked off ,but still in place...
