Thanks for the replies :) The cooling system seems to be in good order as the temp gauge never exceeds the first quarter of the scale. Will take on the advice and check all the hoses, etc and make sure it has a genuine LR thermostat.

I actually have a set of 1 inch spacers in the garage. Fitted them about two years ago to the Disco, took it for a test drive... Couldn't wait to get back home to take them off, didn't like the body roll.
