    you can get a switch that clips around the pipe, obviously its not as accurate as one that runs in the coolant but does work and is adjustable.

    the swap can be done over a few days. will be easier if you have a few friends that know what they are doing. did the same last year on my own and took me 4 days/ evenings. what is the engine you are going to fit from as this will make a big diff when fitting.

    200 tdi inlet manifold

    oil vapour from your engine breather goes to the air filter to get burnt in the combustion cycle. there will be some oil in the intercooler/ intake simply due to these being after the filter in the flow of air to the engine.

    what about the 12volt plug in ceramic heaters. not sure what they would be like for prelonged use but they are small and give off a good heat.you would be able to set ontop of the cubby and direct the heat back

    yes it can be done by moving the box back but with the 2.5 N/A its a realy easy job lifting the engine out the choice is yours

    i would be more inclined to check the clutch reservoir. if the fluid is gone it will prob be the slave or the master cylider, the fluid from the slave will go into the clutch bell housing and the fluid from the master will leak into the footwell. if the fluid is still there it could be the...

    a tin of coach paint would leave a better finish and prob be cheaper. easy to use with a roller and brush.

    you could always try a clutch claw or a pedal box that way i wont matter if the steering wheel turns they will not be able to use the pedals. alternatively you could alway use something on the pedals and steering wheel. overkill but it all helps:D

    yes i third the A-frame ball joint. the nut may be fully tight but not tight against the axle mout. i had to add a larger washer to allow it to tighten fully

    if my memory serves me correctly the early 90's had a 45amp alternator but these are no longer available. a 65amp alternator is the next one . i would be inclined to clean or even replace the cable from the alternator to the starter terminal with a larger diameter as there would be a voltage...

    just remember when finished they are very top heavy... i remember seeing 2 on their sides on the crumlin road in belfast. 2 soldiers died as a result. they toppled over trying to go round a corner at speed
