Evening all, does anyone know the proper name for the bit on doors that stops it opening to far etc.. i thought it was a door stay , but can,t find any on the popular websites, doesn,t come up with the hinges an like :confused:

mite be silly question, but where does the oily residue on maf intake fins come from ? i can understand it from say K an N filters, cos they are oil lined, but i,ve only used paper air filters it seems odd . maybe this oil residue sucks through to the eliments in maf sensor and trips it ...

Hi all, i,m back with new disco.. TD5 s . alrite its basic model, but compared to my last one gs i,ve got no airsprings to change.. no leaking sunroofs.. no aircon to re-gas.. only paid 2k and only 97000 on clock .. happy days! waiting for snow..

ok, few posts on here bout wastegate arm seized, and need to free it off, i,ve done this but how free does it have to be? mines moves with pliers but is under resistance, is this normal?

thinking of chopping in me disco td5...always fancied a defender ,90 110, bit off putting coz i might get say 6k for disco (2001) but what would i get defender wise for same money? i think the defender holds its money better ? i like my 7 seater but i do landscape work so have to keep emptying...

I got bfg all terrains on me disco had em on fa 2 years now, they still got a good bit of tread left , fa a start off the gibbon who put em on didn,t check camber so one front tyre cut away within 9 months, an failed mot the rest just seem to have worn unevenly even with regular tyre pressure...

how does one go about getting new ignition key? mine snapped, its got half in the barrel and half on the key, it still works as the two marry up in barrel, good job it didn,t snap in door! would av been fooked! so its still useable wiv keyfob alarm ( cl) but can,t lock door manually, would...

my disco has the dreaded 2,500rpm kangaroo judder, i,ve read various posts bout overboosting etc, when i changed oil last week i took off ecu to check the factory fitted oil bath, it was running through me fingers before i got it to the bench! i cleaned it all out, let it drain and refitted...

Has anyone done a 2" lift on disco series 2 ? is it straight forward on front, and is the rear just like spacers on the airbags? do the props need changin ? brake pipes etc.. and does ecu ( air suspension) detect difference? and finally what would ride be like after? many questions, but...

CHANGED ENGINE OIL IN ME TD5 DISCO TODAY, GONNA DO GEARBOX NEXT WEEK,, NOT TO SOUND THICK, BUT IS THE GEARBOX AND TRANSFER BOX SEPARATE IN TERMS OF OIL? I MEAN DO I HAVE TO CHANGE BOTH?? ANY HELP PLEASE. :doh:
