2007 RRS 2.7 TDI HSE Suspension issues

That was my thoughts as well. The seller has agreed to have it checked out by a garage and pay for the repair. I’m seriously not happy that he didn’t highlight this to me when I bought it 2 days ago but at least it looks like it will be sorted.

2007 RRS 2.7 TDI HSE Suspension issues

I’ve just bought a RRS and parked it on the drive only to wake the next morning to find the rear suspension dropped as per the photo. The seller says this is normal but I have my doubts. Is this normal? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Whining (not the wife!)

Hi, I'm looking for some advice please. My freelander has developed a whine which seems to be coming from the front when slowing down but only when the clutch is depressed. The noise is not noticeable when in drive including slowing down without depressing the clutch. Oddly enough, after...

    Noise from rear

They assured me they were LR parts and charged me 200 euros for the pair and several hundred more to fit them. This car is turning into a moneypit.....a shame really as I've owned it for 3 years and until recently with no problems

    Noise from rear

It was their idea to change it. To be fair they drew out some oil and it had shards of metal in it - I'm no mechanic but it seemed a fair diagnosis. The VCU bearings were replaced last month and my first thought was that they were at fault but the garage persuaded me otherwise - I'm now...

    Noise from rear

Put my 2006 Freelander into the garage this week to replace the diff as there was a loud whine from the rear which got louder with speed. That was replaced but the whine from the rear is still there??? Next, both rear bearings are replaced and no prizes for guessing.....the noise is still...

New Front Tyres....now a bust rear Diff?

I've can sympathise completely, just had 2 new tyres fitted (newest now on the rear!), new rear fuel pump, replaced the VCU bearings and now about to replace the rear diff as its now making loud whining noises (not the missus in the back seat!!) - all this in the space of a few months, just...

New Front Tyres....now a bust rear Diff?

Thanks for the quick response - this is what I suspected (bit late though). I had the prop shaft bearings replaced at the same time as the front tyres (rear are about 4000 miles old) last month - looks like this month is going to be as expensive as last month...never mind, the kids ate last...

New Front Tyres....now a bust rear Diff?

Through reading lots of posts on here, would I be correct in saying that the new tyres I had fitted to the front of my 2006 Freelander could have caused my rear diff to fail? The rear diff started making a loud drone last week - went to the local dealer who took a sample of oil and found metal...

Freelander - HDC TC lights (but without ABS)

I had exactly the same problem. The brake light switch broke which then blew fuse no 2 resulting in no brake lights and displayed HDC and TC amber warning lights on the dash. I had £££££ signs flashing in front of my eyes. Following the above advice I contacted my local dealer who supplied...
