v8 fuel map / tune resistor - rovergauge

I have read your other post thanks, have checked the MAF it works just fine (replaced with another working item and the result is the same), resistor also works, got hold of a multimeter today. starting as this request is about a fuel map printscreen from rovergauge not about the resistor...

v8 fuel map / tune resistor - rovergauge

Hi All, I have a RRC 4.2 v8 LSE running very rich on fuel. I think one reason could be the wrong fuel map applied by the ECU due to the wrong reading from the tune resistor (blue resistor 1800 ohm for my v8 4.2) Im using the rovergauge (https://code.google.com/p/rovergauge/) to check my engine...

Range Rover Classic 4.2 LSE (21) Tune Resistor out of range

Thanks. I have a blue one now fitted, but according to the fault log something is not ok. If the resistor is wrong, would my engine run richer than normal?

Range Rover Classic 4.2 LSE (21) Tune Resistor out of range

Hi All, I have managed to get the rovergauge connected to my RRC LSE 4.2. (great tool btw https://code.google.com/p/rovergauge/) the only fault I get when the car is running is "(21) Tune resistor out of range" The car is running rich, so I think this could be reason as the ECU tries to add...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I have changed my heater resistor today on my RRC LSE 1993. Its a pain as the space is just too small to unscrew old bolt from wrong resistor... You need a mini screwdriver and patience!!!!anyway its done so now I have all speed of ventillation:) .

RRC 4.2 1993 Speedo transducer working but speedo doesnt

Got my replacement Speedo Buffer relay (PRC8882) this morning. Fitted right away. I have made the volt measuring well on the components and wiring, as my speedo works now, indeed the speedbuffer relay was faulty ;))

RRC 4.2 1993 Speedo transducer working but speedo doesnt

thanks for the offer very nice of you. I have ordered a speed buffer last nite for few quids, and I hope that will solve the issue (though it will take 7 days to deliver, so I will update you within a week) if that doesnt help, I may consider your speedo head unit (if its from a 1992-1994 RRC)...

RRC 4.2 1993 Speedo transducer working but speedo doesnt

I hope! I had no idea on electrics before this, just reading the workshop manuals and ETMs I could find on the web and trying figuring out the electric wiring diagrams ;) Has anyone tested the speed buffer relay? how it should work when it gets the 12 V on terminal 85/86? or maybe its not a...

RRC 4.2 1993 Speedo transducer working but speedo doesnt

Some updates. Speedbuffer (5 terminal relay-ish thingy) seems to be wrong as it sends no signal onwards (on terminal 87, 87a) to speedo when terminal 85,86 energised (ignition on). I have tested this with a voltmeter and 12V from the battery. The speed buffer socket gets 12V from the...

RRC 4.2 1993 Speedo transducer working but speedo doesnt

Hi All, I have an RRC 4.2 LSE 1993. The speedo doesnt work, so I have decided to check what component could be wrong. I have checked that the transducer gets 12V when ignition is on (unclipped the wire and checked the green-white cable according to the electric diagram), then removed the...

Range Rover Classic 4.2 engine vacuum pipe & cables

hi West Slope Rover, last question... (so the top outbound outlet is...

Range Rover Classic 4.2 engine vacuum pipe & cables

Thanks! I thought the plastic ball (vacuum reservoir) on the left wheel arch should go to the recirculating/fresh air solenoid switch under the chubby box and the other on to te vacuum pump.... Maybe i was wrong... Thanks
