Used APEC discs and pads, double checked this afternoon and the are fine and seated properly, will take the wheel off at the weekend and check for any other movement.

Just as a test, would it do any harm if I ran a + from the battery to that no 14 pin, just to see if any life came into the lights? Or could that do more harm?

If I had diagnostics I would seriously break the car! I'll have to double check the wiring tomorrow I only checked the + on one side so will look at the other as well. If it really is a no go I could always opt for a 2010 conversion lol, that really would be sweaty palms for me!!
