    P38A East Lothian Owner?

I'm in Tranent - had the p38 for 3yrs and the disco 18mnths ish. There was another silver p38 in prestonpans but haven't seen it for a while - theres a few floating around but it's difficult to tell the difference between a landy nut and those who are just trolling around in an older RR. The...

    P38A East Lothian Owner?

I've seen one kicking around Tranent/Musselburgh area but haven't noticed if it's N reg. I've given up waving to other p38 owners - hell, I rarely get a wave back when I'm in my camel let alone the p38.

re import my disco to uk

Go on DVLA website and request the used vehicle import pack. You will also need to let HMRC know that you have imported a vehicle (DVLA pack has all the info in it) It should be easy but true to form for DVLA my disco is still not registered in the uk after 4 months.

    need a defender.......

Trax - I'm in Tranent in sunny East Lothian - I lived in gala for a few years, where are you? I'm definitely going exploring so not after a blingy pose-mobile - first trip will be the Pyrenees next summer (I have relatives down there who have knowledge of the tracks in the area so a good place...

    need a defender.......

I've driven a few defenders & series but never owned one - the lack of creature comforts is one of the attractions :-)

    need a defender.......

I usually spend my time in the p38 part of this here forum but have come to the conclusion that a 110csw is needed to fill a space on the driveway alongside my p38 & Mercedes v220. Why? - well, the simple answer is that I want to bugger off to foreign lands and explore on & off road - my p38 is...

    n+1

I currently have my p38 which is a keeper, a Mercedes V220 which is in the process of being fully rebuilt as we intend to keep it forever as it does everything we need from a car. The p38 is a toy that my fab wife insists we keep. Also have a pug 107 which will be going soon due to lack of use...

    P38 4.6 overheating advice

Compression test will tell you if HG gone. Might be thermostat or may be that rad is silted up and needs flushed or replaced. Have a good search on here as there are a few other things that may be contributing to your coolant loss. I had a panic moment last week when my top rad hose burst -...

Thanks for the info - filler in the chassis is shocking  no wonder the prices a so low.

    who is this masked man?

Not quite - just a wee query for the collective. I've been thinking of getting a 110 as there appears to be a 110 size gap on the driveway and while Searching on the bay of e I came upon user name stationwagons4u (seems to be based in the Newcastle/Durham area from what I can work out) who is...

can't connect to EAS to clear fault

Have just been out and now have EAS working again. I managed to get another OBD socket and EAS timer during the week but thought that rather than spend time upside down under the dash in the rain straight off I would work my way through - checked all the fuses first - all ok but no EAS nor...

can't connect to EAS to clear fault

Thanks wammers - I'll check the pins as well - I didn'tget a chance today, work kept me busy later than I planned but will try to get some time tomorrow

can't connect to EAS to clear fault

the lynx is connecting to every other ecu in the car through the lead and existing obd socket - it's possible that there is some sort of damage but i'm thinking it's unlikely that the OBD socket is the cause of my troubles. I'll start with the fuses and timer unit and see where things go from...

can't connect to EAS to clear fault

Is it possible that a power spike has knackered the timer - I've got plenty of spare relays so will try this and report back.
