Thanks Wammers just needed the confidence. I took the gear handle off and it the plastic leaver under the handle had snapped inside. I can now drive it without a handle until I get a replacement. Any idea if I will have to buy a full handle or can I replace the plastic leaver? Thanks again

With respect to the 12V Solar panel, I understand that it plugs in to the cigarette lighter socket. If the ignition is switched off will it still charge the battery? I am sure mine doesn't work with the ignition off.
