Well I've finally lost patience with her! For sale is a 1996 2497cc diesel p38. Sometimes she starts, sometimes she doesn't, sometimes she stalls and sometimes she runs beautifully. 141000 miles, full service history, silver with grey leather, some painting required to both back corners ( I've...

    P38 hot start

Hello everyone. I have removed the Range from said garage and it is now being cared for by a very reliable mechanic. I started the vehicle with no problem this morning, drove it 3 miles to the new garage, stopped in the car park, engaged reverse and the engine died. I tried to start it again but...

    P38 hot start

Help Again!! I've had my diesel Range in a Land Rover garage for 3 weeks because of it not starting when it's hot. The AA mechanic that originally looked at it when i had broken down narrowed it down to the pump in the tank because of a lack of fuel getting to the fip from the filter...

Des4933 has a fuel pump problem disel

I've done that little test and to be honest i could **** quicker than the speed the fuel is coming out, and i've got nowhere near 180ml of fuel in the jug. Is the fuel pipe from the tank to filter as one or is there a join of some sort? I've been told the pipe has been replaced but i haven't...

    Britpart exhaust

I've just had a brand new Britpart fuel pump fitted in the tank of my P38 Diesel plus a new fuel pipe to the filter housing and my mechanic now says i have very low fuel pressure from the tank. Could it really be the Britpart pump? If not, what could it be? It started fine when cold but cut out...
