Hi this will sound daft but does anyone know the correct name for the gear linkage roll pin at the front of the gear selector. I have just tried to explain it to the guy at pentland land rover and he doesnt know what i am on about. Thanks.

Thanks for the help eveyone. Mine is the 1.8 The guy from the AA came out this morning and it was the pin. It had came loose so he managed to get it secured but recommends i get a new pin fitted it only took him about half an hour and i was back on the road. Once again thanks for helping me.

Hi. looking for some advice please.driving to work today i have noticed that there seems to be a lot of play in the gear stick. I can select all the gears but you can move the gear stick from side to side very easily no matter what gear i am in is this a job for the garage or can anyone offer...

Hi mate mine does the same and the guy from the garage told me its the air con even though its not turned on. This has always happened since i bought it 18 months ago and its never caused a problem
