gear linkage pin

Hi this will sound daft but does anyone know the correct name for the gear linkage roll pin at the front of the gear selector. I have just tried to explain it to the guy at pentland land rover and he doesnt know what i am on about. Thanks.

If he doesnt understand what your describing , i dont recommend buying parts off him.
