FROM START UP THERE A SQUEAK FROM ENGINE SOUNDS LIKE DRIVE BELT BUT IT WONT GO AWAY & IF YOU SPRAY WD40 ON BELT IT GETS WORSE .HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WITH THIS CAR AND INTEND TO GO BACK TO A DEFENDER 90 BUT HAVE TO NAIL THIS TO SELL THE HEEP.SQUEAKS ON START AND STOP THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY DOES`NT SEEM TO BE WOBBLING .COULD IT BE THE DAMPNER. ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS .ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED. TD5 03 66K ON CLOCK:doh:

Wd40 will only make it worse, try chalk or talknpouder (a mechanics trick!!) dust on when running and hold ur breath lol

I was gonna point out that spraying grease on something that's slipping will only make it slip more :doh: so maybe try spraying some belt slip on it instead but he got all stroppy so **** him .

I sprayed my fan belt with wd40 and even that would not stop it sqeeking ,you having a laugh

have you tried cutting off the belts, you may find that stops the noises,
