Was trundling along this morning and saw a 110 CSW coming towards me, so I flashed and gave them a wave.

I was in my other car though, wich is a toyota.

They waved back!

Anyone driving a black CSW110 in London at 6am this morning that had a bald bloke driving a silver Rav4 waving and flashing at them....

I'm not happy ! When i drive the wifes disco, no one waves back.
Bl**dy school run mums !
I think i'm going to have to stop driving it.

I got tooted and waved at by a bloke in an Escort van on Wed afternoon between Malton and Pickering, North Yorks.. Didn't know the driver or recognise the van so it must just have been someone who likes old Series Landies. Doris and I both waved back anyway - doesn't hurt to be friendly.

stick a snorkel, big m/t tyres on it an a roof light bar, you'll be surprised at how many landy drivers wave back then;):D

I waved/flashed quite a lot, til I realised that round here, people see them as some sort of status thing. All these people in their td5's and fooking tdv8's not waving back etc. Shocking.

I can't do that !
I'll have 2 bottom less pit to drive then !:D:D:D
It took some time to talk her into having a disco !!!! But I'm working on a 110 now !

Watch this space :p

but chainsaws dont lok as good or light up little country lanes as well as spots

I dunno - a couple chainsaws ont roof wud look pretty cool;). You know roof lights only light up ya roof, glare across the windscreen and dont light up the road much. If you wanna light up the road, a couple of 8" 100watt spots on the front cant be beat:D.

I always wave first at series/200/300tdi's, if a TD5/Disco waves I always wave back. If a Puma Defender waves at me, I give them the finger and throw whatever is in my hand at them as they drive by, usually a cheeseburger or a mobile phone, sometimes both!

Heh, I never flash headlights at anyone .. too many ****wits think I'm letting them out!

I do wave at Series, Defenders, Disco's with 'kit' on .. but again, too many driven by mums on the school run etc. ;)

Bleedin inverted snobs :) I run a bog standard Disco 1 (only cos I've only just got it and cant afford to do anything with it yet), having "graduated" over the years from 109's and 110's, wave at all Landy drivers and am always surprised by how few wave back.

I didn't realise the latest generation of tricked up boys thought they were so much better than anyone else - you're just as bad as the snob value owners :D

Trouble is unless a RR or Freelander is kitted up, none (IME) wave back, so why bother. Similarly, round here, most 'normal' Discos are just a family car and some of the looks you get when you wave are priceless!

If anyone waves at me first I wave back ... but again it's mostly Defenders or similarly kitted Discos.

When the series was on the road, we had people come up to us in Car Parks and randomly start talking to us about Land Rovers ,and loads of people waved. :)

In the Disco? No one... The again it is completly standard....
