Disco 2 cutting out

When I go above 3k revs my disco 2 shudders the engine management light comes on
Some times it cuts out completely / goes into limp mode
I have to turn off the ignition and restart it then it can be fine for a few miles
Any advice it's been on a diagnostics and had
Fuel temp sensor fault could this be the cause and what does it mean

Sounds like fuel starvation, I assume it is a TD5. Change the filter, check the filter head they block up, also there is a filter in the cylinder head behind the fuel pressure regulator.

Could be turbo overboost check wastegate modulator and wastegate is not seized

thanks guys have changed the fuel filter still doing it
the waste gate is hard to move back and too is that how its supposed to be or is it supposed to be lose?

yes a 99 td5

it should be to stiff to move by hand but should move with mole grips, give it a dose of wd40 and work it bak and forth a few times
