Your car did really well to carry on moving after it tipped over onto the banking.

Think most of us would have stopped and got it upright first though :cool::cool::cool::cool:

I wish we had pics but I think Discopol and I were too shocked watching

ok, daylight damage assessment-

one bent steering damper removed on saturday mid lane cos it were preventing me from turning left.
currently chucked in passenger footwell and can stay there as it drives ok without it.

rear shockers, a different story.
due to being skint at the time, and being offered a pair of plus 2 d2 rear shocks, i fitted them. (4 weeks back)
the top bushings are different to d1's and were a right royal pain in the rectum to fit.
ended up with series shocker bushes in there.
so.... 3 days after fitting them, the offide bottom nut winds its self off and disapears. refitted (m14 fine thread nut. series alternator pulley nuts are the only correct thread size i could find in the shop)

next issue was yesterday. top bushings eaten, and the nearside top lost its nut and washer.
and it feels like both shockers are ineffective with the bouncing.
trip to jake wrights this morning and a new pair of standard height shocks, unfortunately a late type and an early type as its all he had in.
fitting will commence shortly.

in amongst the plethora of phone calls about everything else!

a good day then....:)
 
well, swapped the shockers, nowt really to write home about, straight forward.

locked up, went to fill the tank, pulled up at the pump and got the sinking feeling on the brake. tried again just to make sure, and yeah, the peddle's creeping down.
bummer.

quick inspection found brake fluid on inside of front offside tyrewall.
bummer.

filled up.
bummer. 105 quid.

went back to shop, and started again.
front offside brakepipe rusted thru on union to flexi pipe.
cut off above wheel arch, bent new pipe up, flared ends, stuck a new bit in.
bled up, tested, locked up, went home.

big cheers to sue for offering to entertain jack.
big cheers to jack for going xmas shopping with sue.

Damage not to bad after pushing the dents back out, just a wheel arch to fiberglass and a few scratches.
