Hi guys when the production stops of the defenders will this have an effect on he price of the defender will they go up?

And also will the parts become more expensive

I think they will go up in value compared to what they are now, or retain there value should I say. Thats vehicles not parts. The thefts of parts may also increase unfortunately :(

You can still get most of the bits for a Series 1 and they haven't made those officially for ages. So I'm not expecting Defender spares to be a problem in my lifetime.

As to the value of complete vehicles, it's hard to say. Certainly looking at Ebay and Autotrader, nice shiny examples of recent vehicles (last 10-15 years), especially County Station Wagons seem to be commanding high prices still. So that may well continue.

I'd certainly see them holding their value well (as they have over the last few years) which is more than you can say for most vehicles!

Parts shouldn't be a problem - the number of Fenders still about 20 years + from Manufacture will keep the demand there, although over time some low demand components might become more scarce
