Hi all, i have a 1998 p38 and I've had it chipped and fitted the k&n air filter, i wanted to remove my cat and was thinking of also taking out the middle silencer but im worried how loud this will be when i leave for work at 6.15am!! Has anyone done this?
Thanks

Thought of doing this with mine looked on line found a stainless system no centre box they say it's not much louder and gives better gas flow
i think it was RIMMERS

I doubt if he is still here, he posted that in 2012. ;):)

It wont make any difference. Save yer money and get a mild steel system.

Living on the edge of the Breacon Beacons extra torque would be nice as i drive over them every day to work have been looking at
different ways to boost it e.g lpg a magic box or a chip

Chip? This is in the 19j section, they don't have any chips?
And LPG will not increase power, and is not an option on a diesel.

tinly tec do a kit for a diesel lpg helps to burn the fuel up to 90% and reduces the emissions by a huge amount

Not for a 19j engine, as far as I know.

And have you actually seen these improvements in practice, or is that just their advertising?

What sort of engine have you actually got?

Sorry for my mistake but i was looking info on the 2.5 in the range rover to make it a bit more lively, have been searching the interweb for bits
spotted the exhaust saw the thread and replied to it
The lpg vaporiser goes between the filter and the intake so should fit any diesel and is set and forget according to them

This section is about 2.5 Turbodiesels (19j), an engine that was never fitted in Range Rovers.
So I assumed your post was about that engine.
I suggest you try having a look at the Range Rover section.
Personally, I have mixed feelings about LPG, because there have been problems with some installations, and because of the issue of finding somewhere to fit a second fuel tank, but some people get good results.
Here is the Range Rover section.
