Ok so i have an l322 td6 3.0l 2002 m57 engine. As we all know theas are a masive pain to fix. So i had pre mot check witch gave me a few items to fix. So i have changed

Turbo
Turbo manifold
Injector
Top plastic cover.
Egr cooler pipes
New fule filter

So i was driving herd a loud pop and lost power in the engine manges to get the car home somone suggested it was a hole in manifold so orded to replace upon taking aprt i found egr cooler pip had broken and the egr pipe to intercooler had split. So i replaced. I also cleand egr. Befor repair i put fule clener in the system and she ran near enough perfect started fine befor repair.

Upon taking aprt the top half to change manifold and turbo had 2 stuck injectors so got theas removed and replaced everything that needed replacing. Put back together than sprung fule leek from top of filter i fixed this. Than sprung leek from the t pice where the fule returns from t connector spilling quter of a tank over the floor. replced this so fule leek is fixed no issue no more leeks all good. But my issue is now she will not start . She will crank over the fulle is definitely gett through as pulldd bolt of end of fule rail to bleed the air out the system have a feeling it may be week crank . As battey dies pritty quickly after charging up. But i have a feeling there may be more to the issue
Hoping somone can shed some light on what my issue may be.
I have checked connection on injectors everything is tight and connected as sould be. So my feeling is its either fule pressure or injectors not fireing but as it ran first start befor repair i have no clue

Is this car of an age where you have to formally introduce a new injector to the car?
If you fitted two new injectors or maybe removed them and didn't put them back in the same place as they came from, could that be the issue?
I think this is the case with D3s.

No, injectors do not require coding on the M57 engine.

The obvious thing to do is to check for fault codes. These things will happily rack up codes in the background without throwing an error light or warning message for you, so worth a check.

If that doesn't shed any light, ignition on, engine off check the fuel supply pressure with diagnostics. This should be 4bar, if not the supply pump is possibly questionable. It's located behind an access panel under the passenger side rear next to fuel tank. I've heard stories that it has a little check valve on it that can experience difficulties affecting supply pressure too but I've not experienced this myself.

If that fails, will it start on brake cleaner? Typically if you've got some poor injectors it'll struggle to start, particularly when cold, however once running will chug along reasonably enough. If it'll start with a shot of brake cleaner then back to the diagnostics again and look at the high pressure fuel pump values. I believe idle fuel pressure should be around the 345bar mark but there is a tolerance to this. I think the tolerance plays out at anything less than around the 315bar mark is considered a fail and action is required. At this point a leak off test on the injectors would be required to see if any of them are experiencing high leak off and causing a loss of fuel pressure. If the injectors all pass then consider whether the fuel pressure regulator on the back of the high pressure fuel pump is failing. They have a small o-ring on them which can wear and again allow a high bypass of fuel causing a loss of pressure.
