It looks like you all have diesel freelander. Any V6?
Mine is 2001 V6 and done 64000 km with starter motor, losing coolant, driver door wont unlock and starter switch problems so far. All been fixed except driver door wont unlock :(

Petrol?

Nah!

We have:
- 1998/R Camel Trophy just celebrated 100k. This little truck is great fun and always brings a smile to the driver's face. Loads of pictures at www.cameltrophyvehicles.com
- 2002 TD4 GS with 42k on the clock. Used to support my missus's business and probably spends more time driving off the tarmac than your average Land Rover. Never missed a beat.

Cheers

Blippie

:) Hi, mines a 98 1.8k 5 door with 160 000km on the clock, previous owner "forgot" to do the timing belt at 100 000, so by 110 00 he had to fit a new head and gasket, I've just replaced the VCU, and it now needs a new ABS modulater, so after that it should be ok, everything that can go wrong will have been replaced.

Here we go, '98 'R' plate 2.0Xedi, Epsom Green 5dr, cold start problem, sunroof and Drivers window duff at the mo....Oh yeah, and 140k miles....The others are mere BABIES! :p

She's a cantankerous old cow, typical landy, but she's still here....

Tiny still winning by 10k!!! :D
Ya just can't beat those old XEDI's can ya?
By the way Casybai - Tiny said to tell you it will be the pre-heat relay which needs replacing. She knows what it was like last winter firing on 3 and spewing out white smoke! If you need a link on where to buy a massively over-engineered unit that will restore your cold starting joy for under a tenner- let me know.;)

Good one Tiny, 10k on the miles, but 6 months younger! Right about Xedi's tho..:) Could you send me the bunf about the relay mate, I'll have a butchers at where it is tonight, unless you happen to have any photos.......;)

Thanks,
NeilC

HAHA, found the bleeder(the relay that is). We've got an old metro in our yard from slice up practice, the relays are the same numbers, have swopped them for no change at the mo:( . I'll see what a fuel filter change does for it. Ming, I've bled the air out the current filter, but still not playing...better not be the HP fuel line...:(

Still swimming uphill and all that bollocks....

So its Tiny in 1st closely followed 10,000 miles behind by cashybai on the milage...Cashybai winning by 12 months on the age front... Roll up, roll up - any other contenders?

Can't match the milage but I got me a 98 'R' reg 2.0Xedi 5 door had it for ages. The only known faults at present are a non-working heated rear windscreen and a knackered solenoid in the drivers side back door. Got 118,000 miles on the clock and the old girl is still going strong. got a few creaks and rattles but I also got a loud cd player so that don't matter. Just about to give her a new interior as the original one has seen better days. I just picked it up on fleabay ( door cards, seats, steering wheel, and gear knob all in matching grey leather).

Mines a 'T' Reg Tdi with 149000 miles on the clock and still going strong - only problem (at the moment) is that the power drops when the headlights are turned on!!

Tiny,
Whats yer mileage at now mate? reason I ask is that the 318 bimmer I've bin using to do the 200mile round trip to work (Rutland to London) has cleared 250k and has about had it poor gal...A mate has an 'F' plate mercy 190E up for grabs at £1200 with 30k gen miles, & a FULL dealer service record which looks to be coming my way. The wife sez she's nicking that so the Green Meanie is gonna be doing the long haul stuff....GET READY TO BE OVERTOOK!!!!:p ;)

Willo, just saw you had a 190E, anything I should be watching out for?

Mine is an R reg 98 2.0 DI. Its got 123K on the clock and has no problems at all! Its running in mondo mode still and with a bit extra in the tyre pressures it truly drives like a sportlander.:D
I give it an oil change every 3000 miles. Possibly too often but I know someone who knows someone and it costs me very little!
Had it just over a year now and have every intention of still having it in 20 years time (obviously this depends on the nutters on our roads leaving my car alone).
