Wheel nuts

Good evening lads and ladies,
I have a conundrum and wonder if anyone can assist. I “lost” five locking wheel nuts whilst driving along merrily minding my own business, had been parked up in the middle of nowhere walking dogs prior to this. End result was watching the wheel bounce alongside me whilst ploughing a grass verge with my disc! I have fixed everything up but am still missing wheel nuts. I have provided pics of said nuts as cannot source them anywhere, does anyone have any ideas please on where i can get five replacements which will fit the hole AND get a socket on to tighten? Alternatively looking for replacement set of hubs, tyres are all good!

Doesn't seem to be a lot of thread poking through the wheel on the final photo, how much of the threaded stud actually enters the nuts? not a lot by looks of it.

If someone’s been trying to Nick em aren’t you better off getting a new more secure set

Good point, something just doesn't look quite right to me, the wheel centre doesn't look like its supported by the hub. Might be just the angle at which the photo was taken.

It does look like there's a spacer in there.

There are seven 180 degree turns of the brace from being finger tight on the stud, may need to change the hubs out as they are not the best!

Hi Mick, just a bog standard hub assembly, no spacers as I read on the forum how crap they are in relation to suspension and steering.....I am going to swap the hubs out as there should be plenty of thread, it is just the design of the hubs which is poor?

Are you using the correct wheel nuts for alloy wheels, wheel nuts for steel wheels should not be used with alloy wheels.

So 3.5 turns of the spanner? that is not even going to be a full nuts worth of thread.

Just one locking nut per wheel would be sufficient surely?

can you even torque locking bits up the same as normal nuts?

then 4 normal nuts done up double **** tight.

you could get longer studs?
Something does look off there though, are you wheels not resting on the hub inner? Just held in place bu the nuts?

These nuts look like they have an extension so they offer some support for the wheel and the taper makes sure its central.

Thank you all for comments and suggestions, especially Lynall...these look as though they will do the job until I can source a new set of decent wheels.
