hi
had my freelander about 6 weeks now .
98 xedi .
very pleased:) :) ,so far needed new sunroof motor, new drivers window motor, new front cv joint ,also dealer changed cambelt ,glow plugs & 2 rear tyres (although didn't know goodyear eagles were suitable for freelander?),but garage (olympia motors ,coventry ,have been brilliant & done all the work without any hassle )

I was looking around engine bay and on the bulkhead there is a small electrical connector with 2 black pipes going in to it ,at the bottom there is a filter that looks like a petrol fuel filter ,but there is no pipe coming from the filter it just has a hole in the bottom ,what does it do:confused:

some one that sounds pleased they done all that work after only having it 6 weeks :p

Neither did I, You sure they're not wranglers? And what size boots are they? I'll look at my Xedi when I get home, see if I can spot which bit you're on about, in the meantime can you post a piccy of what bit you mean?

yeah ,thats why i dont mind it going wrong a bit now as all covered by warranty.
the sizes on the tyres match the hand book but i had been looking around for parts to check prices before buying car & hadn't seen eagles recommended anywhere.
i can't complain as they were free & it's better than them just putting the cheapest tyres on.

Just a big suprise as eagles certainly haven't got much offroad/mud&snow capability. Having said that, just bin onto the Goodyear homepage, which has a 'tyremanager feature'; They're indeed listing eagle nct's as a summer tyre fitment, with wranglers as a 4x4 selection. GOODYEAR Tiremanager - TIRE+RIM MANAGER

I would look however, and if you've got M&S pattern tyres on one axle, and eagles on t'other, that may not be a good mix.... I'm still suprised that they put a 'road' tyre on a 4x4...

Nother fort, with the duf tyres, was it just low tread, or was the tread castelated? also, have these new uns been put on the rear or the front?

Just looking for more bits you may need to have done under warranty before they cost you a shedload...
