Ripped head off 300tdi disco and it has blown across 2-3 and water ways. visual inspection head looks stained, but not split. Headset ordered and waiting for it to come.

After last night's fun & games I've replaced a split turbo hose with a spare one I had in the shed (from when I de-EGR'd her), and ordered a new set as I'm not happy with the hose on top of the intercooler. Seems that it's been rubbing on the bonnet under pressure which has been eroding the rubber! Just gutted I ain't got the funds for some silicon ones:(

Helped Daftlett change the "P" gasket. 3 hours to have it all stripped and cleaned and a new core plug fitted. She did really well :D
New parts tomoz, clean the intercooler and rebuild.

How easy is it to take off the inlet manifold?
Mite even fit a decat pipe while it's easy to get to.

got me disco axle fitted to the rear of me 90 along with new springs, shocks, A frame ball and calipers.
ready to start on the front axle now!!!

After the joy of omega v6 rocker cover gaskets and inlet manifold gaskets.

Managed to collect 300tdi head and get block cleaned and head fitted, still to fit manifolds, adjust valve clearances and flush cooling system-but not bad start.

realised that those parts of my chassis ive painted with red oxide and gloss black hammerite are a fook load easier to clean than the non painted parts - ie - squirt with hose - off comes the dirt .... the bits that are not painted - the dirt just gets wet and stays put !

figured out i need new rear drive flanges - jacked her up , removed dust caps and looked for movement on the splines - one side looks fine (drivers) the other moves a good quarter turn at the tire before engaging !

HD drive flanges worth it or just stick with the originals (after all they have done 110k to date) and i assume because its a spline ill be needed new half shafts - gaskets - any other jobs worth doing while im in there ?
