What have you done to your Landie today.

Found out why my clutch is acting strange.... Greeted me with a nice ****ing puddle of Clutch Fluid under it

I used mine to go into the forest and saw up several fallen trees for firewood , then take the wood round to the mother in-laws in a blizzard. We moved almost 15 tons of wood. I must get one of thoughs Sankey trailers, Just about distroyed my run of the mill type one.

fitted a new wiper motor

Did a quick service on the 300 tdi, oil and filters. Oh yes, replace the glow plugs, starts better when it's cold now.

Finished installing a raptor dash into the defender

The switches came from MUD-UK - and the ligher sockets from Maplin Electronics at £6 each. I put more photos of the install on Brian Dorey.com | Fitting a Raptor Dash into a 1999 TD5 Defender

Finished my installation of heated door mirrors. Just hope we've still got a few frosty mornings ahead of us this winter!

I keep thinking about fitting some to mine and then decide against it due to the amount of current my landy already draws off the alternator. Then the next time they ice or mist up I start wishing I had fitted em. :doh:

Yep, I know what you mean! However, they only draw 14 watts each. So that's barely a couple of amps.

I followed this bloke's method - Installing Mirror Heating to a Land Rover Defender - 'twas a little bit time consuming, but worth it to keep everything neat and tidy. Unless you're really looking hard, you'd never know the mirrors have wires going to them.

I thought they drew more than that? How hot does the glass get after they've been on a while?

I fitted heated seats to mine back in december. I still haven't got round to wiring them up to the heated rear screen switch/relay which is currently redundant (I have a solid bulkhead behind the second row seats that prevent me seeing out the back anyway).

I do like the way he's wired them up in that link but I'd be a little bit worried about feeding wires through holes in the metalwork without first fitting grommets.

Fitted front cam seal..I say fitted, its push fit so well within my limits lol

Also anti roll bar bushes. The difference is amazing

I have a 98 disco auto which has immobilised itself giving the check engine light aswell,
as I have no remote or emergency code for it, does anybody know which is the best way forward, cheers.

Got me a set of General Grabber AT2's on the Tdi. Have them on the other bus and luv em.

put a sticker on it and cleaned out a dog sized doghairball.

Mine are both running through a 5A fuse. The glass doesn't get "hot" as such, but you can just about feel the increase in temperature with your hand.

I do fancy a pair of heated seats, but they're gonna have to wait. I recovered my original seats with Exmoor Trim kits last year which was quite an expensive exercise. The seats look great - really pleased with them, but given the cost I've got to keep them for a while!

Exactly what I did

Repaired leaking cooling water manifold, replaced a leaking water pump (seals goosed) oil filter and centrifugal filter changed, oil and coolant replaced. Good two days

Fitted new track rod ends today, thought it would be a nice easy job how wrong. Track rod came off OK however track rod ends bit of a bitch. Fitted new ends coated in copper grease very tight on last few turns, took the bus to Hi Q to be tracked, could not complete job due to track rod siezed. Will remove track rod again tomorrow & apply a little heat to free up the last few threads
