Finally some good news, hope I will get an answer soon from BBS about the ACE BUG.

Regards Gerhard

You should see soon in your support section an update :D , ohh and it will be for ALL evo users even if they didnt buy from BBS. The update should consist of all the bug fixes needed that were left in the tool from Mattia at Nanocom.

Then hopefully after the EVO fix which is far far easer to fix than older version nanocom due to the way you can update the tool, a fix will come for the old version tool as well giving the same capability and update as the EVO. This is assuming you have all done the 10Mhz crystal modification if your tool is that old it needed it from the very old 16Mhz version. So as you see all tools will be supported and cared for.

And yes its a FREE software patch via support you all expect.

see, all will work out in the end if the companys involved can be left alone to help you get improvements to your tools and not slandered.

May I just ask, Bellautos, why did BBSguy not say this? I have no reason to doubt what you are saying, but I cannot understand why, if the "horse" is on this forum, it couldnt be "straight from the horses mouth".
You accuse peeps of slandering BBS, and yet the owner had every available oppurtunity to say "Hang on guys - I hear what you are saying and give you my word that you will ALL have the same level of support" - that would have shut the moaners up immediately.

Butt I have still 2 f.cked ecu's. Tried the trick energizing the main relay, did not work because the nanocom is missing the controlvalve calibrating routines. It is possible that this bug is also in the evo. BBS should have said "Ok, there maybe is a problem and we will check this as soon as possible"

Maybe the dealer can give them a kiss of life next week, MOT is due anyway.

Exactly what I think, BBS Guy you have a public relations disaster brewing, a simple we will give legacy support rather than there is no support as you have worded so far.

Also BBS Guy you could do well to read "how to win friends and influence people"-your handling of Nanocom glitch thread is awful.

Finally BBS time to pay for the exposure and customer leads on LZ- I will personally make all efforts to derail your spam posting as it is using LZ for commercial marketing.

Bellauto's you obviously have an agenda as a bbs reseller and therefore unless directly from BBS the promise of support is worthless.

Im not sure is the full answer, i can only assume he has a minefield of things to work out as it is with the new stuff going on, trying to make bug fixes etc etc.

He is trying to get the needed updates together to help all that need it, but this bug wasin nanocom before it was fully taken over so he does need toime to adjust to the new tool and sit down and correct any mistakes it has, give him time you will get what you need. Afterall its not his faullt Mattis forgot something in the software, he is just trying to repair Mattias faults.

Has he said "there is no support"? I thought he said "the support is the same as, but no better than, Nanocom have always supplied - we will give better support to those that buy through us"?

I do agrre that his handling of this leaves somethingto be desired.

Maybe it is because either....

1) he dont give a **** about what peeps on LZ think.
2) he is so busy he cant be arsed with anything else.
3) he is rather stressed, had an off day, and will be back later to apologise and set the record straight.

Yes my agenda is to keep customers happy as i know they need support for products, all the prodiicts i sell i give support for no matter who made it. Not that ive sold any here, but im still here trying to help.
I also do love what i do and have made many a good friend on the forum, just so you know its actually more than just a job for me, i enjoy it, thrive from it, and will always help another person and beleive it or not even if their is no commercial gain to be had im on the phone, answereing emails talking to people giving FREE yes FREE info because i like what i do.

Im not here slagging people im here to help, if you dont want me to TRY and help with members situations i wont, but dont pull me down for trying.

and for the record, i never came on here promoting my self or the tools i sell so dont start about spamming either, i came on here as a forum member and a friend to some of its readers. Just because my user ID is my business name does not mean i want to sell on here, because i dont.

You can always expect some dead body's in the closset if you take over a company! It would have been nice if BBS answered my mail regarding my problem.

:rolly:

I agree with you, but give him some credit where i beleive its due, he has taken over a company knowing little about its background problems and is trying to do his best to please all. new and old customers.

Some things will take longer than expected to sort out , some not, he may not have been aware of any glitches in the tool when he got the company so its all new to him just as it is with me, you and every one else.

And to boot ive just taken 2 hrs out of his day already chatting crap to him about this, thats now 2 hrs ive taken away from a update i also want for my nanocom tool just all everyone does.

I can honestly say over my 5 year dealing with BBS i personally have always got what i need in the end, sometimes things take longer than id have liked but ive got what i need non the less.

So after 9 pages the op still hasn't had his thread starter question answered lol. Made for good reading. @Fanatic keep up the good work my friend.
Simple fix, fit 200/300tdi early model engine, box and bouncy bits to your d2. No need for any diagnostic tools of any kind.

i quote the post made on another forum from BBS

Had a long think and I have decided to simply close the BBS technical support forum section we created for the NANOCOM altogether.

All support will now be provided soley via the origional method [email protected] and the reserved area for downloading upgrades etc as per origional expectation.

Technical Support will be provided as best we are able to all NANOCOM owners, old and new.

Re the massive price hike, its no secret, as it is for sale on our shop for anyone who wants to look, it went up by a staggering 23 Euro, which interestingly is almost the same as the 10% discount we offer to established forum members of this board. Buy a a few and they actually come much cheaper than before. I have also added expansion options in the form of additional model unlock codes.

further assumption that i will somehow change the system to be vin locked is also completely unfounded as is the assumption that i would not provide future developments for the product.

My bones isn't with you, but the fact you seem to be the BBS MOUTH PIECE at the moment-if as you say you had a 2 hour call with BBSGuy it is **** poor he hasn't made an effort on here.

I would also advise you against being the mouth piece for BBS as you will look bad if they fail to deliver.

Lastly my gripe is BBS Guy using this forum for Sales Venue ****es me off-others have been banned for a lot less.

I dont mind being in the fireing line for BBS just as you dont for the forum members, i know they will deliver. and if they for some reason dont ill also take what ever comes to me, but deep down i trust them and i know what they say to me will happen.

See this situation is easy to sort in one post and a bit of action by BBS

1) BBS embrace existing nanocom users by allowing them on bbs forum in their own section.Boy would you be ****ed if you bought it last week from nanocom.

2) Admitting biting the head of someone with a nanocom problem was the wrong thing to do and actively ask the right questions so to
a) resolve the issue for guy.
b) make sure the current model is not affected.

3)stop sales spam or pay LZ for the privilege

On a personal note I find BBS GUy totally Self serving and Egotistical,Now is a chance to show they are a caring company who respect brand loyalty.

I'm on the side of the individual with the bug issue and currently he is getting **** poor customer service and support+a gob full from BBS Guy

Hi All

After sleeping on it and rereading my posts, I think I could of worded them a bit better. But thats all said now.

Two things thathave been thinking about
1. If BBS was to open the support forum to all existing owners V1 and evolution. these owners could help BBS develope the tool because they will beable to tell BBS right away what bugs do exist. Saving BBS time in fault finding.

2. As we all know once your an LR owner your always a LR owner. So todays D2 owners will be tomorrows D3/4 owners. If BBS was to give us the "warm fuzzy Feeling " now and good service I for one would look at buying his products in the future. So he could generate future customers.

Also I just had a read through the posts on the Defender forum and seen that we're not the only forum with concerns.

The Nanocom is a good tool and I hope with the support from BBS it will become a GREAT tool.
