Hi all, i was recently driving up the M5 and 3 warning lights (ABS, Traction Control, and Hill Desent) all came on with 3 dings from the dash at the same time, now when ever i start they all stay on.

On ringing landrover they've suggested it may be a sensor fault, or a board fault... is there any wy i can fix this myself without having to fork out too much cash to those money grabbing b******s??

Cheers

Dave

My 2004 V8 ES Disco has the same problem but only intermittently. According to the owner's handbook the same 3 lights will always come on together. I have my Disco in Doha, Qatar and the Land Rover agent here tells me that it is a combination of dust and humidity which is making one of the sensors give a false indication. Usually if I switch the ignition off and restart, the lights will then extiguish. They have never been on when I first start the car, only sometimes coming on approx 10 to 15 minutes later when on the move. Was it raining when yours came on?
Warning lights are there for a reason (apart from generating dealer revenue) and if yours do not ever go out it might be worth running a diagnostic check.

do the three amigos search.. there are lots of tips that will help you fix it yourself.. mine is ABS only (discovery 1) but the info on here saved me a fortune when the light went out and garages wanted to charge me upwards of £50 just to tell me what was wrong.. fixed it for the cost of a paperclip in the end cos of these helpful bods round here
