Well off we go again.

8am at the Crossgates (A44) cafe. For a trip around Nant-y-moch and various local lanes.

As usual new, old and newbies welcome as we never leave anyone behind. Unless it is really broken then we send in the Dixiecopter for an airlift.

Hey beard, how's the truck? did you sort the noise?

Aaaaaaaah

Thought it was the tensioner so i replaced that - no difference!
Ordered new aux belt, went to fit it yesterday - New tensioner fell apart in my hand!

Called craddocks and the've sent a new tensioner out, should be here this morning.

Round 2.

And new aux belt didnt fix it either! feel like:frusty:

Going to craddocks in the morning, gonna get a new water pump and try that.

Hey guys, I 'm a newbie to the site but sometimes live in Wales. I will be back in Wales that weekend. I have a stocker, will that run with you fellas ok or will it get fubar?

Cheers!

Ahhhh I see now. Simple really when ya know the lingo innit.

Well we don't go looking for dents or scratches. If we get stuck then we have ropes and winches so all is well for a good day of decent laning.

Although anyone not using low range and/or diff lock at the appropriate time is liable for serious **** take for a while and even getting a Defender 90 stuck on a mole hill is not beyond reproach either.

As mentioned before we never leave anyone behind. Even with a blown head gasket. choo choo!!

I dont know what your talking about!

Yeah we did say it was the water pump but i was hoping i could solve it by changing the aux belt and tensioner. But to no avail.

Ever changed a water pump on a TD5? its behind the power steering pump and i have a feeling it will be a bitch!

Yes it is very do-able and wouldn't take long. If you think the water pump is a bitch, try changing the fuel pressure regulator.

If its that bad, no thanks! :)

Im mr pessimistic at the moment. i have the new water pump and will try fitting it tomorrow but i dont think it is the issue!

Are we doing the happy valley lanes near machynlleth as well on the 17th?

Gets my vote they are ace lanes.

Bugger..can't do saturday, nightshift friday

You got to stop this night shift malarky mate its bad for your recreational activities. :)

...will be joining in at some point again in a disco now though (eek)

The disco will be fine mate, in fact it will be lighter as it hasnt got a boot floor to weigh it down. :D:eek:

...and 110 woman wants a jolly in her 110 at some point.

What!? women driving  Is she coming to watch?

Looking forward to it. :)

In what way does a night shift have any effect on a days laning. Sleep only when you're dead ol' lad, that's the future.

Meet us when you finish the shift. we'll be waiting for you.
