just had the viscus coupling go on my 03 freelander!!!!!!! what a boomer , but??? alot of places pricing £400 + to replace the lot
has any one else had one sheer off the rubber mounts?

You'll be better off asking them in the Gaylander section mate, you've got far more chance of a sensible answer

You dont need a new vcu.What you want is DA2352 FREELANDER DAMPER KIT | Freelander 1996>: Major Units | shop | www.lrseries.com | L. R. Series and you might want a new set of support bearings ,they can also be found on that site .

1. Carefully remove fan and viscous coupling from vehicle, using Land Rover recommended tools and procedure.
2. Douse vehicle liberally with any suitable flammable liquid (e.g. petrol)
3. Ignite with match.
