Long storey short, Got a 2.8 Daihatsu Turbo (reconditioned fully) from an old friend of mine, to fit in to my 84 Landover series - it has the adaptor for the bell housing. engine had 89 thousand on the clock got refurbished then my friend gave it to me.

I'm happy with the engine, and know its history, im seeking advice on the engine mounts before i take out the old engine as i honestly don't know

1. Will the old 2.5 na engine mounts fit and just place it in ?
2. Do i need to fabricate a new set of engine mounts, and if so - would really welcome the advice on what to do i.e. measurement's etc.

apologies if this has been a thread in the past but i cannot find any information on it, and would appreciate any advice..

Thank you

Rather than make new mounts for my 90 disco conversion which had mounts 4 inches out I used some thick plate (from an old disco mount) and bridged the gap with that. Might work for you
