v8 running issues

v8 misfires on lpg and petrol, but only between 1000-2000 rpm, put new plugs and leads on but still does it, it pops down the exhaust,

ive been having problems sealing the plugs in the head, when its dark you can see glowing around the threads on the plugs, now thats sorted it still misfires

any ideas?

you should change cap ,rotor arm and coil at same time

Maybe a stupid question but are you sure they're the right plugs. Correct spark gap?

found out whats going on, but dont no how to solve it!!!!! engine is over fuelling and wetting the plugs when idling, if i run it on gas it seems ok, if i disconnect the maf sensor plug the idle speed increases slightly and it seems to run a bit better.

have the ecu read for fault codes, either that or have the maf tested, if shagged replace

Had the same problem and it was fixed with a new set of plugs with the gaps set at 0.6mm. A strong coil etc is also required. Hope you set it right - at one stage mine was so bad the hood insulation caught on fire.....not good!

What year is your disco? What ignition system is on it? Buy an msd controller, msd coil and magnacore leads, no more problem!
