Hey all
I know it has been asked before, but i still dont have the answers i am looking for.
Want to fit a Boost Gauge to the disco 2 TD5 engine, i understand you fit the T connector to the a rubber pipe on the turbo, i do not want to be drilling and tapping into the Manifold. so here's my questions
1) Do i need to cut a pipe and fit the T connector to plug the gap i cut?
2)what pipe is the right one?
3) what reading should i get from fitting it onto here?

Thanks for any advice :) i know its a lot to ask but if someone could post a picture of the right pipe that i have to link it up to that would be just awesome

I notice that the same question was put up on the D2 Boys Club forum a day or two back.

Apparently you can get a threaded nipple thingy off e-bay for about a tenner to put into the hose that connects the intercooler to the egr valve or egr delete pipe.

This keeps the boost gauge feed pipe close to the plenum chamber, thus giving the most accurate reading.

No need for a tee-piece at all then.

Yep, I wouldn't Tee in to the rubber hose you wont get a true reading and if you want it to keep an eye on things the best place as close to the inlet as possible.

This is how I did mine,

Smart job Steve. Is that just a normal nut that you have welded to the tube or is it part of the fitting?
