Hi all, Wonder if anyone can help me, I believe the twin turbo discovery 4 can have problems with blue smoke when the second turbo kicks in due to the turbo drain pipe being too long, but there is a modified kit you can buy to solve this problem. My question is I have a 2009 jaguar xf 3.0d twin turbo with the exact same problem, Would anyone know if the jaguar engine has the same turbo drain pipe problem that the discovery 4 has. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think they both drain into the aluminium sump block or sump extension check part numbers is a good way to find out try advanced factors diagrams they have jag and D4

Hi. I might be talking rubbish but I was led to believe that the turbos are swapped over in the jag. I only know this because I just fitted a pair to my D4 and the turbo " specialist" fitted the compressor housing in the wrong orientation, saying the above about the Jag.
Good luch though.
