My 2001 Freelander TD4, this morning, neither of my remotes would unlock the car. All door locks and the tailgate made no noises at, plus no flashing lights from the indicators. The remote batteries are fine.
I got in the car by driver-door key and it started just fine.
Anyone suggest what may be wrong, how I go about diagnosis?
Also, does opening/closing the door with key set/disable the alarm?
btw, I don't know if it may be relevant to diagnosis, but the external rear passenger side plastic door handle has in the last 2 days, just started to get dodgy, and needs to be pulled very high to stand a chance of unlatching the door lock - the plastic handle, when I pull it up, it feels mushy and seems to travel higher than it was designed to do.
