tonight after work i have painted the wheels.and taken one sill off .as they are both all dented and bent . the plan is to get some steel and make some new ones . a bit more heavy duty somthing that will take a few knocks . just dont know yet how i am gonna fix em on . any body else done this ideas and pictures would help cheers
 
I suppose the front will have to fix to the bulkhead outrigger as per the original, as for the rear i cant remember what sunder there?

got the steel .cut it shaped it hopefully it will bolt onto the origanal sill brackets while i get them in place . then i will have to make them more sturdy with some extra brakets front and rear . cheers
 
new rocksliders fitted taken 2 days of cutting and welding .i think they will look ok with a bit of paint on them .would post a pic if i new how to
 
There's some drawings in the parts book might help. The sills have L shaped brackets spot welded to them which bolt onto the runners which go from the bulkhead to the tub.
 
job done just uploaded pics to gallery ends need finnishing .but gonna have to get some gas for the mig cant grt on with that gas lees wire .it just seems to make the welder pulse and cant get a clean weld .it might also help if i knew how to use it properly cheers
