Thank you Mantamad

I"d like to say a big thank you to "Mantamad". he has just saved me a lot of money. When I couldn"t get my key in the lock of my Freelander TD4 I rang my local Landy bloke, the same one who quoted me nearly £400.00 to replace the fuel tank pump but which I replaced for the cost of a new pump £110.00. This Landy bloke informed me that I would need a brand new Lock assembly costing with fitting anything up to, Yes you"ve guessed it £400.00. It was at that point I opened a forum on the Landyzone and the first person to reply was Mantamad telling me he had the same problem and all it was, was the dust shield. Yesterday I removed the door handle and lock barrel and true to his words it was the dust shield which I removed and now all"s well in this household again. At least now I can lock my car.
