Where was it on the shelf there? I looked for ages and couldn't even see the 28p offer anywhere, well the empty shelf anyways.

It was priced at £1.09 BUT they had got the barcode wrong, it said reduced BY 28p but the computer sold it at 28p...the ticket on the shelf was all wrong...2.8p per 100ml, reduced by 28p, price £1.09...too late no anyhows...

Oh makes sense now, there I was in tescos for best part of 10 minutes looking for a 28p price ticket. No wonder I didn't find it

They have now amended the error. Shelves near me are restocked and price amended to show the 28p reduction as opposed to 28p price.

The price of 28p was on a special offer label on the bottom of the shelf, that’s how I knew where it was supposed to be if they had any, next to the full price larger bottles.

As somebody else said it was a price mistake, so they withdrew the offer as quick as they could along with the price labels that’s probably why you could not find it, it was there at 4pm along with the empty space.

Ive still got 12 bottles in me basket waiting for checkout at 28p a bottle

Just had Tesco on the phone to me. They said there had been a mistake with the price and they are totally out of stock of sunflower oil. Therefore they can not process my order of 12 bottles and I will be refunded in full. I asked if they could give me an alternative oil but they said all out of stock. BASTARDS ! At least I got 42 bottles in store

ordered 4x12ltrs in different names on sunday, last 12 came today but were replaced with flora...wish i had known earlier.lol

How come they honoured your order and not mine ! I should have made more of a stink about it but Im a nice guy :doh:

Me too, just had em on the phone, telling me categorically that no-one has had the oild delivered at 28p. I challenged this, with the fact that they delivered 12 bottles to me last night at 28 p, gave them the order number, and asked to speak to a supervisor.

He came on and told me that the guys on the phone had been given shonky info, and that they would honour the price quoted.

Phew!!!

Thats ****ed me off even more ! I should have told them I was in no hurry and was prepared to wait till more stock arrives. ****es me off that a company worth billions wont honour an order worth a few quid when it was their mistake

Tesco Swindon have withdrawn it, theirs is £1.58 now, a member of staff said it was a mistake and that it was on the grapeseed oil!

grapeseed oil is good,nice light green colour-but not normally 28p per litre,more like £4.00 a litre

Tesco St Austell produced a suspiciously warm (just out the computer printer?) letter from "HM Govt" saying that all of that batch of oil could not be sold as it was contaminated and was thus a public health risk.....while saying that yes ,they had half a dozen pallets of the stuff out back and would just love to sell it....but the nasty govt wouldnt let them.But one was free to buy the same oil in three litre bottles at the full price.No **** !

any of you no if my sprinter 2.9 will be good on the sunflower oil , cheers guys as its £110 to fill it now bloody expensive
