engine cut out at some lights this afternoon. it would turn over but not fire...i have experimented with different fuels so always carry a spare filter and have fitted a glass sedimenter to the bulk head so i can see any nasties...anyway this was full of gunk so cleaned it out and changed filter. bled the fuel lines but it would still not fire....attached jump leads to my second battery that i use for lights etc and she fired up and off we went. so anyway the wife was with me just taking it in her stride, opened a packet of crisps and just sat there whilst i informed her it was not a breakdown but a pause in the journey and it gave me the opportunity to take her through some roadside fixes. as she wasnt really paying attention i have informed her the landy may do it again at some point....maybe....just to test her and it would be her fault for not paying attention this time;). i only class it a breakdown if i end up been recovered

i tried to tell her i had stopped to show her the pub and chinese take away nearby and that i was just changing the filter as i had a spare 2 minutes but her lips went so thin i back tracked on that one

sounds like my house, though swmbo is coming round now. as long as she can spend on cloths what i spend on the landy, were ok (please don't let anything expensive happen!!)
