Can anyone advise me of the best fuel pump to purchase for my td5? It's been going through the bad starting issues for a while now, I've changed the pump already and it's still noisy and doesn't seem to have the power to pressurise the system to start up, I've done all the other likely suspect jobs injector loom crank sensor etc all bar the injector seals (there's no signs of diesel in the oil) it fires up straight away with s sniff of easy start which points me back in the direction of the fuel pump! Genuine Land Rover pump over £300!! So if anyone can recommend a decent aftermarket one that has good reviews I would be very grateful

I was thinking that would be worthwhile doing at this point! However I don't think I would tackle this job myself, any ideas on how much a garage charges for this?

I agree 100% with Mark
There are a few threads on here and other forums and it is not too bad a job, but if you are not happy then best to find a good trustworthy mechanic.
I would also recommend to change the air bleed unit on the fuel filter it's quite cheap and can make a big difference.
Sorry no idea on cost of having seals done but a pro should do it in 2 - 3 hrs probably less, many people on here can now do them in a very short time, having had practice.
