Series 3 Series 3 2.5 diesel Not Starting

Hi i’ve recently tried to start my defender after 6 months of not touching it, i tried to start it with a new battery and new Lift pump and it’s sounds good just doesn’t have fuel i have bleed the (fuel filter, injector pump) and checked all injectors are getting fuel and they are all.

Would anyone know why it isn’t starting or any suggestions on what to check would be much appreciated!

it’s a 2.5 diesel series 3

Did you get any air out during bleeding, Have you checked heater plugs working and stop solenoid if it has one

Or someone’s forgot to push the stop cable back in

Assuming lift pump is working? Iirc there are two bleed screws on the inj pump, then once you have clean fuel there you need to crack off two inejctor pipes (any two) and crank until both have a decent squirt, tighten injector pipes and she should start.

Fuel stop goes in fully and the cam moves, when i’ve bleed the system there has been fuel coming from every bleed point.

You need to crack the injector pipes once you have air free fuel at the inj pump.

If I get any air in mine it takes several bleeds to run. Often it starts and dies again wanting another half pint of expensive diesel sacrificing to Swarf the god of series.

Quite normal for me to bleed-turn over-bleed-turn over.
