Hi guys, I’m after a little bit of help or at least some info to help put my mind at rest….

I have a 2003 TD5 Discovery, I’ve owned it for a few months and one thing is puzzling/worrying me - when I start her up a bet a vibration/rumble/knocking through the break pedal. Is this the ABS doing its thing? Or should I be worried?

I’ve just pulled into my drive tonight and it did it again (1st. Time its done it not on start up) You can feel and hear the rumble through the break pedal.

Your help would be much appreciated .......

Just had this problem with mine, 52 plate D2.
It was the discs, looked OK from the outside, but only a 2 mm strip on the inside contacting the pad.
New discs & pads sorted it, just passed its MOT with flying colours!

Many thanks, but this is on start-up - the vehicle isn’t moving. It almost sound like its coming through the dashboard, but if you put your foot on the break pedal you can ‘feel’ it as well as hear it .

Thanks guys! Sorry its been discussed before (I did do a search before posting with no luck). it’s a big weight off my mind!! :)
