TD5 110 Pickup Engine Oil Leak and Gearbox leak

Hello All,

I have two leaks one has been there for about a month, it seems to leak engine oil somewhere behind the turbo i think it is coming out of the oil cooler? (picture attached 'Oil Cooler Leak') I have cleaned it of and now it just builds up in the circled area, there is no oil above it, none near or around either oil filter, none any higher than the pool of oil, it looks like its coming out of one of the oil cooler joins.

I believe this is the oil cooler gasket but i'm not sure, any ideas?

Also i have a leak on the gearbox (picture attached 'Gearbox Leak') this one i have no idea on and i havnt had a chance to clean it of, any ideas what it could be?

Other than these minor issues and a previous owner who used to drive in to walls she very good, after reading negative things about TD5's for months i'm pleased i bought one.

Good work horse and decent truck to drive(my previous land rover was a 2.5 N/A 90 so this is like a rocket and a lot more reliable.

The gearbox one looks a bit like it is coming from between the main gearbox and the transfer box in which case it looks like one of the seals has gone. This will involve separating the main box from the transfer box to get at them. The one on the side of the engine is a bit more difficult to diagnose. Are you sure it couldn't be coming out of the rocker cover gasket and just accumulating there? I've seen a few leaky rocker cover gaskets but the cooler and block the filter goes on seem to be pretty oil tight usually.

I usually diagnose these things by cleaning up everything as much as I can - brake cleaner and kitchen roll tissues get everything nice and dry looking - and then keep an eye on things to see where the next few drops of oil come out.
