TD4 oil filter, has anyone noticed…?

That the copper sump plug sealing washer supplied with the genuine LR oil filter does not fit the sump plug on the TD4…?

Basically, a while ago I bought a couple of genuine LR oil filters via the 'bay and noticed this when I came to do an oil change on Sunday.

Luckily I had some sump plug washers left over from when I had my TDI VW Passat, which fitted perfectly

They are no use at all...like the small "O" rings that are supposed to fit on the end of the filter cap "spindle"-the ones that you can't buy separately from LR !!!

the sump plug is alloy on the td4 although some one on here said that the one you get fits the BMW car ( same engine) sump plug

I bought one from BMW. It didn't fit either
