could anyone advise me about these little blighters. On my new series 2a the swivel hubs are corroded and seem only to have a bit of plating left on them, do they have to be replaced or would one shot grease do any good?
If they must be replaced would it be easier to buy a second hand axle? thoughts much appreciated.:D

Just buy replacement swivel housing ball and new bushes , easy enough to do but a little time consuming , as a price guide look here for parts - Series Axle Parts

One shot might just put off the inevitable

One shot grease being viscous doesnt tend to leak out the seal the same, so you could get by with filling the housings with it for now.
Some more experinced mot places will fail you with screwed balls, but nowadays a lot of places wont know to look.
Newuns are not expensive, why not do them after the cold snap.

It's quite a fun job to do, replace the balls, seals and bushes, wheel bearings while you're at it (they'll be knackered if water has got in the balls) and overhaul the brakes while you're there. You'll probably find an improvement in the handling and stopping, too.
