Switch location and blanking plate removal

Hey guys

I have purchased a switch which I intend to wire up my spot lights with, but with out buying a whole switch pod I have been trying to think of the best location,

This is said switch

And I was thinking about using the blank on the opposite side to the head light level switch.
But it seems to be a bit of a pain to get out, has anyone removed or before?

Any other locations you would use?

why not just buy a fog light switch off Ebay there cheap enough!:

LANDROVER FREELANDER REAR FOG LIGHT SWITCH | eBay

Then mount it in its normal position?

Put mine in the same place, I prised it out carefully with a small screwdriver. I still caused a little damage.

Mainly because my spot lights have angel eyes, so would like 2 separate switches

Why not get the auxiliary lighting switch set? http://www.landroveraddict.com/users/winu/photos/the-freelander-osc/3641206301029442b.jpg Picked mine up at the scrappy for £2.

That does look neat! I haven't seen any freelanders in my local scrappy

but I might have to have a proper look!

That's where I thought of first, but trying to figure out how to remove the blanking plate with out damages
