Swapping height sensors side to side

Having read various Internet articles,it seems possible to swap the height sensors from side to side , this then runs on the unused tracks giving a "new" sensor? Is there anything to beware of before starting this ? Does the wiring need changed ? Can you change both the fronts and the rears?(not front to back or vice versa!)

You can only swop them side to side if you vehicle is 97 on. Earlier ones cannot be swopped over. They are plug and play. But you may need to calibrate heights.

Thanks,going to soak the bolts in plus gas and leave for a week or two. Hopefully they will come off ok after that.
