Suspicious noise 🙏🏻

Good evening Guru’s

My Freelander has just started making a horrid noise on idle but the minute I lift the rev’s it stops.
Made me think a rattle or similar but nothing obvious when I took a look.
Has anybody any ideas please ?

How many miles on it? I'm assuming it's a diesel?

Sounds like birds tweeting or was that birds tweeting

Could be the throttle body, maybe the flap catching inside due to cog wear.

Maybe do another video when it's not raining and with the bonnet up so you are looking into the engine on tick over.

Sounds like something knocking. I had something similar.
Have a look at the stainless downpipe from the turbo. There's a mounting flange/tab on mine which broke off meaning the pipe rattled around. I got a local engineering firm to weld it back on ( FOC as it happens) and that cured the problem.
